Abstract

The prevalence of metabolic syndrome has been increasing in patients with psoriasis.Common inflammatory pathways,genetic risks and environmental factors may play a key role in the concurrence of the two diseases.The risk of metabolic syndrome can be increased by the presence of psoriasis but decreased by the remission of psoriasis,and vice versa.To effectively control and manage psoriasis,it is necessary to develop a new therapeutic principle and adopt multidisciplinary treatments.
