Pseudotumor Cerebri in a Paediatric Patient with Renal Transplantation

Abstract

Pseudotumor cerebri (PTC) is an increase in intracranial pressure in the absence of intracranial space or venous occlusion. Patients present with headache, double vision, or visual field problems. In this case, a 12-year-old patient following up with renal transplantation diagnosed with PTC is reported. PTC can cause long-term damage such as permanent vision loss, if not detected and treated early. PTC should be kept in mind in the differential diagnosis of kidney transplant patients with headache and vomiting.
