Abstract

The pseudoscalar current-delta transition form factors are calculated in the framework of relativistic baryon chiral perturbation theory including order $\mathcal{O}(q^4)$. The complex-mass scheme, which is suitable and well-defined for unstable particles, is taken into account as a renormalization scheme. We discuss the low energy behavior of the pseudoscalar $\tilde{g}(Q^2)$ and $\tilde{h}(Q^2)$ form factors and note that the momentum dependence of the form factors is dominated by the pion pole contributions.
