Abstract
This presentation discusses two benign conditions of the breast—pseudoangiomatous stromal hyperplasia and stromal fibrosis. Once simply considered benign and relatively ignored by the breast imager, these lesions have assumed greater importance in the current era of image-guided core biopsies of the breast. The clinical and imaging presentations of these lesions will be discussed. A brief pathologic description will also be offered along with a differential diagnosis for these two benign entities. The importance of radiologic-pathologic correlation and management options will be discussed.
