Abstract

This article attempts to show the importance of self-efficacy in forming a leadership attitude. For this purpose, theoretical issues of the theory of social learning were discussed in order to show the characteristics of this subjective property on its basis. Self-efficacy affects the choice of a situation, that is, its rejection or acceptance, depending on the expected consequences. At the same time, the competence attributed to oneself determines the strength of involvement in a given action, as well as perseverance in pursuing the goal. For this reason, it was recognized that it is an extremely important personality trait that significantly determines the performance of managerial roles and supports the process of shaping leadership. The didactic and educational process, as a result of which the leadership attitude is shaped in the professional role played in a specific position of a given social system, begins in the early stages of an individual's socialization, first in primary and then in secondary reference groups. The process of internalizing cultural values and norms is not only extremely complex, but also very effective. Hence, group conformism, which is the basis of culture, is a matrix for the code contained in interpersonal communication and learning processes. The individual, as it were, hereditarily reproduces the code that is implemented in him along with the socio-cultural program of attribution and scripts through which he perceives and interprets social reality within the culture in which he lives. In connection with the above, the indicated interdependence was decided to illustrate the results of literature research, as well as surveys, which were conducted on a group of students of faculties that are associated with the impact of self-efficacy on managerial activities.
