F-+Fio = F 0 is a two-sheeted covering of an algebraic curve with two branch points, 8 is the theta-function of the Prym variety (Prymian) of this covering, w i is a basis of holomorphic Prym differentials, ~C; , and g is the dimension of the Prymian (these results are contained in Theorem i, one of whose corollaries is the existence of a three-parameter family of fourfold secants of the Prym--Kummer variety).
