Abstract

Clinical symptoms of pulmonary embolism in pregnancy are not specific. In most cases diagnostic tools like contrast-spiral computertomography are necessary. We report on a pregnant woman presenting with lung embolism near term and an asymptomatic factor V Leiden mutation. Spontaneous delivery with peripartal treatment with heparin was achieved.
