Abstract

Transport constitutes a fundamental tool for the development of society, and has in turn generated a series of collateral environmental problems. In consequence, it is necessary for urban management to direct its projects to improve the environment through policies that imply improvement of the environment associated with transport. The general objective of the research was to propose a project for the inclusion of the Strategic Environmental Assessment in transportation planning in the province of Matanzas. A set of tools and techniques were integrated such as: Gantt Chart, PERT Critical Path Method, resource allocation, observation, individual interview and expert criteria. As a fundamental result of the research, the following were obtained: the programming of the activities of the process with a project approach, identification of the critical activities and their assignment by the clock method, as well as the optimal compression of the process.
