Abstract

Research on electromagnetic field radiation exposure from cellular wireless systems is expected to become more important, allowing researchers to provide solutions for the effects of this radiation on human living beings. During the research, experiment animals were unprotected to RF radiations for 8 hours every day for 30 days. The exposure duration involved the placement of test animals in Plexiglass boxes. An RF transmitter was placed on the cage's roof from within. The transmitter emitted EMF radiations that were noted in rats. An elevated plus maze and open field test was utilized to determine behavioral parameters. On the 8th, 15th and 30th day of exposure, behavioral tests were administered. According to our findings, EMF radiation toxicity is closely linked with the exposure to this form of radiation. An increase in the toxicity level was observed as exposure time passed. Furthermore, this research demonstrated that EMF radiation exposure resulted in neuronal injury. The RF transmitter was subjected to tests with shielding materials, including woven and non-woven fabrics, which serve as technical textiles for electromagnetic radiation protection.
