Abstract
The article deals with the specificity of managing sports schools and sports championship schools. This is a local government educational task, which aims to meet the needs of children and young people talented in sports and enable them to develop and compete in national and international competitions. Managing of these schools requires a lot of investment and having a rich sports infrastructure. Leading local government units, very often use forms of cooperation with various entities. Cooperation in the realization of these tasks is compulsory (e.g. with sports associations) and voluntary with many entities, e.g. other local government units, legal and natural persons.
