Abstract

At the meeting of the I.S.P. commissions held at Bad Godesberg in April 1966, Commission II decided upon the recommendation of its president, K. Schwidefsky, on the establishment of a Working Group II/2. The task of this group should be to critically examine the procedures suggested for routine checking of photogrammetric measuring and plotting instruments, to supplement and standardize these tests if necessary, and to prepare generally applicable recommendations. Nine members from nine countries closely cooperated with the chairman of the group, R. Burkhardt. The following summary will outline briefly the results submitted to the Lausanne Congress 1968, enumerate and comment on the special papers serving to explain the tests and their practical application, and should also encourage all photogrammetrists to apply and try out the tests in practice.
