Abstract
Abstract The paper addresses the issues of combined processing methods use with application of an electric field during the production of high technology engineering products from advanced extruded metallic materials. The study shows the ways of achieving the specified performance characteristics of parts made from extruded metallic materials by controlling the modes of combined processing. The influence of extruded materials structure on the technological parameters of combined processing is considered. The study shows microprofile formation process by combination of thermal and chemical effect, which provided an opportunity to assess the effectiveness of combined effects of various factors and to create ways of improvement of manufactured parts performance characteristics at the stage of surface finishing. The study opens up the opportunities of obtaining the products with the required performance characteristics, made from advanced extruded metallic materials, by means of combined processing methods on the basis of the latest ways and devices being developed. This gave the opportunity for creation of a methodology for the design of technological processes for combined processing of extruded materials.
