Abstract

AbstractThe article presents the results of theoretical and experimental studies of providing the reliability of the process for processing with a ball-rod hardener (BRH), which serves to ensure the operational properties of parts. A review of the considered methods of surface plastic deformation is performed. The mechanism of operation of the tool for processing is presented and theoretical dependencies are presented, which allow to determine the required reliability coefficients of the technological process of processing. Theoretical dependences are given for determining the arithmetic mean deviation of the surface roughness profile, the depth of the hardened layer, and the degree of plastic deformation. Analyzing the data of experimental studies, the adequacy of the proposed theoretical models is confirmed and the parameters of the reliability of the technological process BRH are calculated. The method of rational processing option is proposed, considering the reliability of the technological process for processing with a BRH.KeywordsSurface plastic deformation processing methodsBall-and-rod hardenerSurface qualityTechnological process reliabilityProcessing stabilityQuality parametersReliability indicatorsReliability assurance
