Abstract
To provide specific postpartum care to women admitted to hospital wards that were initially designed to house only patients who had been diagnosed with COVID-19. Postpartum women with COVID-19 were receiving nursing care primarily from nurses who had a medical–surgical background but who had no recent obstetric experience–competency.
