Abstract

John Harding highlights the particular problems facing young mentally disordered offenders in the Criminal Justice and Healthcare Systems. He identifies gaps in service provision, explores the role of the Probation Service and others in the multi-agency context and outlines an agenda for positive change. He concludes that the new money being made available by the Government for adolescent mental health care will, if spent wisely, go a long way towards achieving lasting improvements.
