A major component in forest management is the selection of seed sources for reforestation to ensure a successful crop (Shu et al, 2012). This component could be assisted by seed zone and seed transfer rules, by determining the size of seed zones there by reducing the risk of planting poorly adapted trees (Hamann et al, 2000) and ensuring the use of well-adapted planting stock (Ibrahim et al, 1997)
