Abstract

Heart diseases cause millions of deaths worldwide. Although there has been a lot advancement in medical science, the quality of health care in remote areas is challenging. Technological advances in the field of communication and medical technology can help in providing quick and efficient health care at reduced cost. This work is based on patient monitoring by a physician without coming in contact with that patient. A kit has been prepared for the patients with the help of internet of things. With the help of this kit, the patient’s heart rate can be monitored by a doctor or a care taker without coming in direct contact with the patient. The kit is a portable device. In addition to this, results are available to take immediate medical attention in the event of an emergency or caregiver and may take required steps for saving the patient’s life. The pulse rate of patient is also available on mobile phone of the physicians which protects them from direct contact with patients and prevents spread of corona. The kit operates using a pulse rate sensor, DHT11 Temperature and Humidity sensor, ESP8266 NodeMCU micro-controller.
