Abstract

The reaction between aqueous zinc acetate and two moles of cymantrene carboxylic acid under mild conditions is found to give rise to {(H2O)Zn(μ,η2-OOCMe)[η5-C5H4(COO)]Mn(CO)3 polymer, whose reaction with 3,5-dimethylpyrazole yields binuclear pyrazolate-bridged complex Zn2(μ-dmpz)2(Hdmpz)2[η5-C5H4(COO)]Mn(CO)3]2. The structure of the resulting complexes was identified by X-ray diffraction.
