Abstract

Proton spin-flit at 11 MeV was measured by the pp'γ technique on the first 2 + level of 52Cr ( Q = −1.43 GeV) and the three lowest 2 + levels in 54Fe ( Q = −1.41, 2.95, and 3.16 MeV). Comparisons of the measurements are made with the predictions of the collective model. Only the fit for the second 2 + in 54Fe ( Q = −2.96 MeV) is acceptable.
