Abstract

The physicochemical properties of arylisocyanates -the basic initial components in the synthesis of polyurethanes -have been subjected to prolonged and intensive study by the methods of IR, UV, microwave, and photoelectron spectroscopy. However, there is practically no information in the literature on the use of proton magnetic resonance (PMR) spectra for these processes. The only exception is the review [i], where only the chemical shifts (CS) for phenylisocyanate are given, with reference to the unpublished work of Castellano.
