Abstract

1. The PMR spectra of a number of disilyl- and digermyl-substituted ethylenes, as well asβ-chlorovinyl derivatives of silicon and germanium, were obtained. These compounds have a trans-configuration. 2. The chemical shifts of the -CH=CH- fragment, corrected for the effects of magnetic anisotropy and the electrical field of the substituents, are evidence of greater ability of silicon for dπ-pπ interaction with the π-electrons of the double bond in comparison with germanium.
