Abstract

Non-articular and systemic manifestations in rheumatoid arthritis are very broad, and several organs and systems may be involved, including the skin, eye, lung and nervous system. High quality evidence about specific treatments is lacking, therefore the management of the extra-articular involvement in rheumatoid arthritis is complex and often requires a multidisciplinary approach. In the present treatment protocol, we will review the treatments for the main extra-articular manifestations, based on the limited evidence available.
