Abstract
The patients pain prevalence at Clinica Colsanitas is important and similar to what is reported internationally. Among the strategies to improve patient care is the pain-free hospital policy and pain management protocols in specific situations. This article summarizes the highlights of the analgesic management protocol for patients with acute pain (different from postoperative pain and chronic pain) during their hospital stay, with the purpose of promoting the safe use of analgesics and contributing to the corporate value of compassion.
