Abstract

Proteomic profiling is recognized as an effective way to directly understand the characteristics of parasporal protein, and SDS-PAGE technique can be used effectively to observe the parasporal proteins (proteomic profile) in Bt strain. However, the manipulation of SDS-PAGE electrophoresis is complex, while the experimental results are susceptible to experimental conditions as well as some experimental factors. This paper presents an experimental protocol and techniques of SDS-PAGE that can be used to obtain good results for genomic analysis of insecticidal crystal proteins formed by B.t. during sporulation. Case study confirmed that the results generated by this protocol are reliable, stable, and reproducible.
