Abstract

The objective: to study the efficacy of rehabilitation with the use of the preparation of α-lipoic acid (ALA) and surface multi needle mul time tal application (SMMA) in patients with chronic pancreatitis (ChP) with concomitant diabetes mellitus (DM).Materials and methods. 77 patients with HP with concomitant diabetes were examined. The age of the patients ranged from 25 to 65 years. The mean age of patients with ChP with DM was 52.86±0.83 years. The average duration of the disease in the group of patients with HP with diabetes is 10.96±0.39 years. Depending on the treatment programs, patients were divided into 3 groups. Patients of the 1-st group received protocol treatment (PT), patients of the 2-nd group received preparations ALA in addition to PT, patients of the 3-rd group received complex treatment with the use of PT, ALA and SMMA.Results. As a result of the study, the presence of positive dynamics was found in all the examined groups, however, the degree of its expression was different in these groups. The conclusion. The efficiency of the correction of patients with chronic pancreatitis with concomitant diabetes mellitus of α-lipoic acid and the course of surface multi needle, multi metal application (Lyapko applicators) in a statistically significant improvement of the estimated parameters of the exocrine and endocrine function of the pancreas (p<0.05) was proved in the complex program of correction.
