Abstract

Commensal bacteria are known to provide colonization resistance in the gut. But exactly which ones provide this function? In a recent paper in Science, Kim etal. (2017) revealed that Clostridia added to mouse infant gutmicrobiota are sufficient to limit colonization of pathogenic Enterobacteriaceae.
