Abstract
SummaryIntravenous administration of pulverized leaves of Maytenus laevis to mice induced resistance to subsequent experimental challenge with pathogenic cocci. Endotoxin, zymosan and Mycobacterium phlei showed more transient prophylactic activity against the same pathogens.
