Abstract

Previous work has shown that polymers, dissolved in solvents, produce films having a heterogeneous structure in that ionic penetration occurred more easily at local areas than elsewhere. It has now been found that when solvents were eliminated the films formed have a homogeneous structure and consequently a high electrolytic resistance. It is concluded that these films have an enhanced protective value.
