Abstract

This paper examines the rights of accompanied asylum seekers in Africa using the case of Nigeria, South Africa, and Sierra Leone amongst other countries. It finds inter alia that refugee minor are always victims of violence, discrimination, military recruitment most of which are under reported. It recommends for adoption by the African Union the model of Nigeria’s treatment of Liberian refugee influx.
