Abstract

While the scientific definition of electricity is clearly defined, the socio-technical meaning of electricity and the human needs for electricity are much more sophisticated. The current system's transition reveals cooperation between electricity prosumers as a new socio-technical research field and extends the meaning of electricity. An on cooperation between households based prosumer community emphasizes electricity as an interpersonal construct, and reflects the dealing with electricity as a result of interpersonal relations. This article demonstrates how a broader understanding of electricity, detached from the technical and economic austerity on electricity, supports the technical implementation of future prosumer communities.
