Abstract

Prostatic abscesses are associated with significant morbidity if not recognised early. Although incidence and mortality have improved, occurrence of the disease is increasing in developing countries and among at‐risk patient groups. Here the authors discuss the diagnosis and management of the disease for which there is no standardised management protocol.
