Abstract
We reported Iloprost (a stable analogue of prostacyclin) enhanced mouse embryo hatching, implantation and live birth (Huang et al, 2003, 2004). Ongoing clinical clinical trial (NCT 301838) also confirmed its enhancing effects on human embryos (Dunn et al, 2011) and IVF success (submitted to ASRM meeting, 2013). These reports highlight the beneficial effects of Iloprost upon fresh embryos. It is unclear whether Iloprost may enhance the survival/development of cryopreserved embryos.
