Prostacyclin Agonist (L165041) Enhances Embryos Survival after Vitrification and Warming

Abstract

We have reported that the addition of a prostacyclin analogue to culture media enhances mouse embryo complete hatching, implantation and delivery rates (Huang et al, 2003, 2004). Recently we also have seen that prostacyclin enhances human embryo implantation and clinical pregnancy rate (Wun et al, 2013). Can these beneficial effect also be seen after vitrification and warming? Prostacyclin action is mediated through its nuclear receptor, peroxisome-proliferator-activated receptor δ (PPARδ ) (Kang et al, 2011).
