Abstract

The existing methods in the succinic acid manufacturing are reviewed and economic assessment of the state of art and perspectives of the chemical and microbiological processes for obtaining the product is represented. Possible ways to make the product of microbial synthesis less expensive by improving the known and designing new processes, and also the prospects of the developing markets of biosuccinic acid are discussed.
