Abstract

This article considers promising designs of the running gear elements of main-line and industrial locomotives, as well as cars, due to the possibility of reducing the wheel flange wear when they move not only straight, but also along curved track sections. The designs of their bogies, recognized as inventions, are considered, and design schemes for studying the force loading of structural elements of the remodeled units are developed, which makes it possible to substantiate the main rational geometric parameters. These developments can be recommended to domestic and foreign research and industrial structures in the field of heavy engineering for the purpose of further study and possible practical application.
