Abstract
The study focuses on analyzing the prospects for biofuel production in the Russian Federation, taking into account the existing opportunities for innovation and world practice. The objects of the research are the ways to enhance innovative processes the processing of biomass for the production of biofuels in Russia. The analysis revealed the existence of a corresponding extensive raw material base in various regions of Russia and the ability to attract innovative technologies for organizing efficient energy production with parallel processing of accumulated biomass. The authors also present original data on the potential volume of biomass suitable for processing on the territory of Russia. Additionally, the groups of innovation achievements in the production of biofuels are identified, and the main prospects for biomass processing are described.
