Abstract

The present research was a descriptive study which was designed to determine prospective physical education and sports teachers' healthy lifestyle behaviors and variables affecting them. 312 prospective teachers, who were studying their 1, 2nd, 3rd and 4th years at the department of Physical Education and Sports Teaching of different universities during the Academic Year of 2012-13, were participated in the research. The data was collected by using Health Promotion Lifestyle Profile Scale and by using a form asking for personal features of participants. Mann Whitney U test and t-test were used to analyze data. Results of the study indicated that healthy lifestyle sub-dimensions except for nutrition revealed significant relationships based on gender (p 0.05).
