Ann Allergy Asthma Immunol. 2018;121(2):235–244.e3 To determine the efficacy of available diagnostic tools in penicillin allergy relative to the results of drug provocation tests (DPTs). The tools used for comparison were clinical history, skin testing (skin prick and ID), and specific immunoglobulin E (sIgE) to penicillin and its determinants. Included were 732 consecutive children ≤14 years of age who presented to 1 of multiple allergy departments and reported an adverse drug reaction to penicillin G, penicillin V, Amoxicillin Clavulanate, or Cloxacillin.
