Abstract

There is a presentation of sedimentological and tectonic features of the remaining outcrops of a post-metamorphic sedimentary sequence founded in Piriapolis - Pan de Azucar Region. Three main cross sections with the same faciological characteristics prove the existence of both a marine - lacustrine delthaic and a continental alluvial sequences. We have tried a correlation with the local stratigraphy accepted for this moment. We conclude with the separation of the most probable models to explain the basin evolution with the tectonic partial results.
