Abstract

Abstract Proprioceptive shoulder taping is a useful adjunct to expert manual and exercise therapy in the management of shoulder girdle pathology and dysfunction. Although the exact mechanisms of action are as yet unproven, hypotheses based on the available literature are presented. These are accompanied by clinical guidelines for application and case scenarios.
