Abstract
In my opinion the cosmological argument which is most likely to be a sound and persuasive proof for the existence of God is the kalām cosmological argument based on the impossibility of an infinite temporal regress of events. We have seen that the argument rests essentially on two contentions: (1) some form of the principle of efficient causality and (2) the impossibility of an infinite regress of events.
