Proposed Amendments to the SEG Constitution and Bylaws Related to the SEG nominations procedure

Abstract

At the Annual Meeting of the SEC Council, which will be held prior to the SEG Annual International Meeting, November 10, in Denver, Colorado, Council Members will be asked to vote on a number of amendments to the SEG Constitution and Bylaws. These amendments, proposed by the SEG Executive Committee, address changes in the procedure for nominating candidates for the SEG Executive Committee. The proposed changes to the Constitution and Bylaws, below, are presented here for consideration and discussion by the SEG membership. Prior to the Annual Meeting, members are encouraged to convey to their Council Representatives their thoughts on the proposed amendments. At the Annual Meeting, Council Representatives will have the opportunity for open discussion on the topics, and they will be invited to offer any amendments from the floor prior to voting on the changes.
