Abstract

Recently, climate issues have been reported more frequently than before. In order to prepare for the rapidly worsening global warming, in the building sector, various methods such as green architecture and zero-energy architecture are being made in line with the Green New Deal policy. For example, various methods of roof utilization have been studied since the early 2000s for the purpose of improving the spatial structure suitable for the purpose of green architecture in urban areas with a high artificial coverage ratio and insufficient usable land area. However, if you look at the current situation after 20 years, due to the insufficient system, lack of financial resources for implementation, passive support measure by government, and lack of design/construction capability, the actual building has rooftop greening, cool roofs, and photovoltaic facilities(for improving urban microclimate, saving energy, ecological advantage) is a reality that is very insufficient. Therefore, this study proposed a design method and construction technology to derive a roof envelope configuration that can be applied not only to new buildings but also to existing old buildings. Through this, we want to spread the construction method that can contribute to reducing energy used and improving the environment in urban areas by freely applying the proven rooftop utilization method.
