Abstract
Business process improvement is a management exercise where we can use different methodologies to analyze and identify areas that can be improved. Especially, the manufacturing domain which presents several manifestations of transformations of materials to products. Thus, the design of each of the production flow, the movement flow and the information flow present a key of improvement capabilities. Business process identifies those different flows. Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) is an industry standard for modelling business processes. BPMN can be used by all stakeholders involved in business processes. Consequently, BPMN creates a standardized bridge between business process design and implementation. This standard is not being applied to the manufacturing process so far. In this work, the aim is to propose BPMN extension to support process modelling in this field.
