Abstract

This paper proposes a simple and precise pure bending test method for composite materials. With CFRP as the subject, we compare conventional bending test methods and extract issues for each of them. Based on the results, we propose a test method that can solve the complexities of the conventional pure bending test method and can also accurately measure the characteristics of the pure bending property. The proposed test method is simpler than the conventional ones and agrees well with the theoretical values.
