Abstract

Objective: Presents a proposal to innovate in the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Management process at the sanitation company in Paraná – SANEPAR. Theoretical Framework: The work provides a theoretical basis based on the theory of Dynamic Innovation Capabilities and occupational safety, covering a set of norms, actions and legal measures. Method: This technical report was developed in a Sanitation company aiming to reduce problems related to the control of PPE delivery. The information was collected through questions to process managers, currently assigned to GGPS - People Management Management, who are responsible for requesting, delivering and returning PPE and analyzing documentation available to management. The action plan developed to solve problems related to the control of delivery of PPE to the company was also drawn up. Results and Discussions: The difficulties encountered by managers in the PPE registration process were identified, as well as non-conformities in audits, control and application of Regulatory Standards. It was explored how it would be possible to manage this equipment assertively and benefit all employees who use it, from the field employee, the manager and other interested sectors of the company. Work Implications: It was proposed to develop an Electronic PPE Management model, using an existing HR system, but incorporating new functions related to PPE. Originality/Value: As the company has around 6,000 employees and labor actions due to problems related to PPE were occurring frequently, the proposal was accepted by the company, this model will bring benefits such as simplification of processes, agility in requests, reduction of errors and prevention of lost documents. Furthermore, it will contribute to more efficient and transparent management, contributing to the reduction of possible labor actions and strengthening the company's safety and sustainability policy.
