Abstract

The concept of 'Pro-Poor Growth' has received wide currency in recent years. The International Poverty Centre of the UNDP at Brasilia has provided extra space for this debate in its regular publications like the In Focus and the One Pager. This note seeks to show that the debate on 'Pro-Poor Growth' is sterile and largely academic with few policy insights.
