Abstract
The monograph is an overview of the literature on the use of the beekeeping product propolis for medical purposes. At the beginning of the book, data are given on the chemical composition of propolis, its use in ancient and folk medicine. Involving literature - scientific articles, results of clinical, randomized trials, results of meta-analysis, systematic reviews are presented perspectives, effectiveness of propolis application in various branches of medicine - in cardiology, nephrology, otolaryngology, neurology and others. Separate chapters are devoted to the toxicology of propolis, its antitoxic properties and the effects of its combined use with modern medicines.
