Abstract
(Anesth Analg. 2018;126:1989–1994) Norepinephrine has been recently described as a possible alternative to phenylephrine for maintaining blood pressure during spinal anesthesia for cesarean delivery. However, its administration via manually titrated infusions in obstetric patients has not been previously described. The authors of the present study evaluated the efficacy of a titrated, manually controlled variable-rate infusion of norepinephrine for maintaining blood pressure and preventing hypotension in patients receiving spinal anesthesia for elective cesarean delivery.
