Abstract
According to the use and environmental characteristics of rubber cylinders, a research on the composition and hardness of rubber was carried out. Hydrogenated acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber (HNBR) was used as the main material, which is characterized by high mechanical strength and good wear-resistance. Composition of the rubber cylinder was determined by detailed analysis on each type of raw material, made through experimentation. Through finite element analysis of rubber at different hardness setting force, sealing and tear resistance, it is found out that overall performance is best at shore hardness of 88 degrees.
